Mr. Chen is an Associate with Arcturus Capital, where he is responsible for evaluating deal flow, performing financial analysis and modeling, and assisting portfolio companies in developing and executing their strategies.

Prior to joining Arcturus Capital, Mr. Chen worked at Hopewell Venture Management, a venture capital firm in Chicago, Illinois.  While at Hopewell Venture Management, Mr. Chen sourced and evaluated deals in the stem cells, proteomics, wireless and broadband industries.  Mr. Chen has also co-founded two technology companies: E-volutionet.com, an online exchange for procurement of services, and Lan-CE, an industrial process improvement information system.  Prior to his work in entrepreneurship, Mr. Chen practiced corporate law at Schaffer & Baumer in Los Angeles, California. 
While at Schaffer & Baumer, Mr. Chen structured business transactions and represented and counseled various types of businesses, including organizations conducting cancer research.  Before practicing law, he worked as a Research Assistant at Immunosciences, a clinical immunology laboratory in Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Chen obtained an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, graduating near the top of his class, a J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago, and a BA in Molecular Biology from Rice University.
